When asked "Is the Constitution is compatible with the Non-Aggression Principle", Libertarian Presidential Candidate Gary Johnson gives an answer that may shock some of you...

The point he was trying to make was that the average voter in America is not swayed, in any way, by philosophy, no matter how profound or correct that philosophy may be.

Have you not run into massive mental roadblocks before when trying to explain the NAP to people?  I certainly have; even when trying to explain it to people who self-identify as libertarians.

Did Gary Johnson just say that Americans are too stupid to understand the NAP?

However, Darryl Perry's response at the start of the video was right on point.

I'd like to recommend Stefan Molyneux's book, How Not To Achieve Freedom, which outlines in detail the inefficacy of libertarianism as a political movement.

The full book is only about 60 pages - available here: http://www.fdrurl.com/HNTAFPDF (http://www.fdrurl.com/HNTAFPDF)

Yeah ... not that I thought he'd have a good answer, but this is really disappointing. I thought by now he would at least have a respectable answer to that question.
