Addressing the last several posts i have to say that for me personally I change a what I can and strive to change what I haven't been able to yet, and accept the fact I can't Do everything. What I mean is my wife is very slowly ingesting the ideas that I am, we're both new to this way of thinking so we're learning together but I'm more actively pursuing information than she is. But I tell her what I learn and see every day. I work a regular job, but I want to go off grid and create my own homestead. I do as much as I can when I can. I'm actively seeking land near the same area as Adam as I believe that it's a great area that's wide open for many people who think alike to create a community and grow it as we can. But I quickly learned it's gonna take time I went head first into trying to buy 40 acres touching Adams property to realizing that it's not an option for me, so now I'm looking at 10 acres in the same vicinity. And I'm ok with that because I envision that eventually alot of like minded folks will be our neighbors. Keep your day job, but do what you can to move in the direction you want to go. Do you have camping supplies? Like a tent? There is a start. learn about survival skills and camping, then buy what you can afford. Then as money allows buy a piece of land in your price range, keep your job as long as you need to, buy what you can to get started on your land a bit at a time. If you apply survival strategy to all of it you will know your priorities"hope, air, shelter, water, food, companionship" in that specific order... I for one am willing to share everything I can my knowledge, my land(when I get it) with anyone who is willing to pitch in and respect what I have to offer. If I moved there tomorrow I'd be living in a tent, which can work, I'm buying water storage containers as fast as I can because that is a major challenge out there. And I'm learning what I can. Start small but do something everyday to move toward your goal
